New roof and roofline
Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
New uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering
10-year workmanship
Project Introduction
A complete new roof and roofline in Beaconsfield
This completed project was carried out on a residential property in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The work included a full new roof installation and a new uPVC roofline, giving the homeowner a coordinated, weathertight finish across the roof covering, eaves and rainwater system.
The existing roof had reached the end of its serviceable life, making ongoing repairs uneconomic. Rather than continue patching, the homeowner opted for a complete roof replacement — stripping the old covering entirely and starting fresh with a modern, insulated build-up that would perform reliably for decades.
New breathable felt was installed over the rafters, followed by treated timber battens and new concrete interlocking tiles. Code 4 lead flashings were formed at the roof junctions, while the ridge and verge details were finished for a clean, weatherproof result.

How We Carried It Out
The Process
Work began with the existing roof stripped back to the rafters and the roof structure inspected for any defects. With the structure signed off, a new breathable felt underlay was laid across the rafters, allowing moisture vapour to escape from the roof void while keeping wind-driven rain out.
New treated timber battens were fixed at the correct gauge for the concrete interlocking tile profile. The new tiles were then laid across the roof pitches, with each course checked for line and consistency as the covering progressed. Code 4 lead flashings were formed at the abutments and junctions to provide durable, long-lasting weather protection.
The ridge tiles were bedded on mortar and the verge edges were finished with a dry verge system for a neat, low-maintenance edge. The roofline was then renewed with new uPVC fascias and soffits, followed by matching uPVC guttering and downpipes. The new rainwater goods were aligned and pitched to carry water away from the property cleanly.

The Outcome
Finished Result: A New Roof Built to Last in Beaconsfield
The completed project gives the Beaconsfield property a clean, uniform roof covering with dependable weather protection. The concrete interlocking tiles sit neatly across the pitches, the dry verge system tidies the gable edges, and the ridge tiles complete the roof with a traditional mortar finish.
The new uPVC fascias and soffits create a crisp, low-maintenance edge to the roof, while the matching guttering and downpipes provide a coordinated rainwater system. Together, the new roof and roofline bring the property up to a consistent standard from the ridge down to the eaves.
